Milia teaches flute to students from age 9 through to adults, welcoming beginners through to advanced players. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, experience, and learning style, while maintaining a strong educational foundation.
Each lesson is thoughtfully structured to include:
🎶 Technical Development
Focused work on essential flute skills such as scales, arpeggios, tone production, articulation and tonguing, breath control, and stylistic interpretation. These elements build strong technique and support overall musical and cognitive development.
🎼 Repertoire
Students work on music that suits their interests and goals. This may include AMEB exam repertoire, school band music, ensemble parts, or other pieces of the student’s choosing.
🎵 Fun!
Lessons also include lighter, enjoyable pieces, such as a duet or contemporary arrangement, encouraging musical creativity, collaboration, and confidence.
💻 Online Lessons Available
Online lessons are available for students who require flexibility, allowing high-quality learning to continue from home.

Conductor
Milia is also a passionate and experienced conductor. She loves working with school and community bands, creating rehearsals that are engaging, supportive, and musically rewarding. Her conducting style balances fun and enthusiasm with a strong educational focus, helping students grow in confidence, ensemble skills, and musicianship.
